Teenage dogs can be challenging, it can seem like you're suddenly asking yourself what happened to that cute little puppy you've been enjoying for the last few months? As your dog grows up, it might also seem like they've forgotten everything you have taught them or they did so beautifully in puppy class. It can be frustrating and upsetting for you as once more you watch your teenage dog running into the distance to seek out their doggy friends, ignoring your pleas to come back!
Dogs are not bad, stubborn or stupid, the simple truth is that dogs do what works for them, and while you've been training them, they have also been learning about what makes them feel good! Dogs do what they find enjoyable and what they find rewarding and that may not always fit with what you want them to do.
We offer a short training course for Canine Teenage Tearaways, to help get you both back on track. Whether you've got a particular issue or several issues, we can help you to regain yours and your dogs focus. It doesn't matter whether your dog has been to classes before or not, we give you the skills to work with your dog and teach in a way that makes learning fun for all learners and our teaching is always, kind and force free.
